IN THE CASE OF PC VS TABLET, THE JURY FOUND THE DEFENDANT....

So I heard PC is a turn-off now?

You ungrateful child..  -_-'

....Apparently, this is the hit in the market right now...

TABLET, I've never actually owned this thing. I just can conclude that this is the anorexic version of PC. Yeap with a few plus here and there, and we can make calls as well. But hey, I always tell my friends that it's not that I have a phone that has clock, I have a clock that I can use to make calls. The lecturer has shown us an article regarding how the sales for tablet are predicted to rocket until it can look down on the PC sales from the moon, with a cynical grin. Do visit this link for the article.

You, friend....is a sad story

However, it's undisputed that tablet is here simply to make things easier. Relating this to innovation, tablet has managed to increase the practicality of PC. The obvious upgrade of course can be evaluated via its physicality, it's slim and portable, thus connecting users to the world not only in the room where the plugs and the complicated cables are, but everywhere around. Size does matter, it always has been that way. Tablet isn't just a mimic of PC, it's far better. I remember this quote from I-don't-know-who in I-don't-know-when and I-don't-know-where...

"If you want to impersonate something, make sure it's better than the original"
(because after all, Charlie Chaplin got 3rd place in the Charlie Chaplin impersonation contest.True story)

It's believed that tablet will be the replacement for PC in 2016, which is only 4 years from now.  I must repeat again what the lecturer wrote in his slideshow, NOTHING IS ORIGINAL ANYMORE. But there must be room for improvements. This is what tablet brings forth to the audience. Something that tends to look similar, but far more advanced. As years grow, technology grows as well, becoming a complex mind that seems to think of its own. This is the reason why more sophisticated innovations are produced more these days. The old gadgets are used as reference, while engineers and designers of these newly-born products dedicate their time in thinking not to create something new, but how to improve something to be better. Tablet has proven to be an in-thing to the market now, (6, 821 million smartphones and tablets will be purchased by the end of the year, accounting for 70 per cent of total devices sold in 2012, and by 2013 the number of tablets sold will have passed 1 billion.) surpassing not to say non-practical, but old-fashioned PC. After all, sometimes, we just don't want to be doing our works at home, right? :)

SO, IN THE CASE OF PC VS TABLET REGARDING THE ACCUSATION OF STEALING CONCEPTS AND VIOLATING COPYRIGHTS, THE JURY FOUND THE DEFENDANT (TABLETS)

NOT GUILTY

BECAUSE INNOVATION IS NOT CONSIDERED PLAGIARISM :)
